Discover Tenyra

Tenyra was envisioned and created by Xavier (Instagram), many years after he moved from Brazil to Ireland (precisely in 2014).

For most of that time family and work left little room for artistic pursuits. That began to change during the pandemic years. The solitude of that period, along with more time to reflect, rekindled a lifelong passion for music, storytelling, and heavy metal.

Over the years, Xavier participated in several musical projects, including the Brazilian band Opus Dei, while continuing to develop his own songwriting voice. In 2025 he launched a metalcore project called Forgotten Blades. Although the project never progressed beyond its early stages, it became an important stepping stone toward what would eventually become Tenyra.

The idea for Tenyra emerged in 2026 after countless journeys through the Irish countryside. Long drives through mist-covered hills, medieval ruins, ancient forests, and rugged coastlines became inseparable from the music playing through the speakers. Influenced by artists ranging from Nightwish and Lacuna Coil to Ne Obliviscaris, alongside a lifelong love of classical music, a clear artistic vision slowly began to take shape.

The combination of Ireland’s atmosphere and the emotional power of gothic and symphonic metal gradually evolved into the musical identity that would become Tenyra.

Tenyra embraces modern creative tools while remaining rooted in traditional songwriting. Every lyric, melody, concept and core musical vision originates with songwriter Xavier. AI contributes to performance and production, much like virtual instruments, sample libraries or digital recording software have transformed music creation over the past decades.
